Phunky Mendez (Patrick Mendez) is a Los Angeles-based DJ and music producer crafting electronic music that pulses with the spirit of ’90s underground rave culture. His sound spans a massive sonic blend rooted in his Puerto Rican and Brazilian heritage.

"Keeping the culture alive and resisting the pull of watered-down mainstream trends."

Raised in Santa Monica by his Puerto Rican congüero father, Patrick inherited rhythm in his blood. He later picked up guitar and immersed himself in Brazilian percussion, building a foundation that now fuels his production work. 2025 marks his debut year as a solo artist, bringing decades of musical DNA to the decks and beyond.
